"Inpatient rehab facilities are the best choice to get treatment for a severely injured, chronically ill, or disabling patient suffering from an acute or chronic condition." Those words are from the Indianapolis Rehabilitation Hospitals website. It may surprise you that the foundation is based in the state of Indiana, which just happens to be its home state. Not only that, but the foundation has branches in several other states, as well.

The foundation is particularly helpful in providing services to patients suffering from multiple traumas (which may include an accident or the development of a life-threatening illness). For example, with spinal cord injury, patients may have suffered injuries to the neck, shoulders, arms, back, and/or legs; in addition, they may also suffer from serious burns. If these injuries occur in different places and at different times, then the impact on one is likely to be much greater than the other.

This is why the medical personnel at the Indianapolis Rehabilitation Hospital are so capable. They have well-trained physical therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, nutritionists, and the like who work together in a coordinated manner. In this way, they can work on the different aspects of your care, to give you the best possible chance for recovery. What this means is that your multiple trauma rehabilitation treatment team works in tandem with each other to provide you the best possible care. You will likely be put under a general anesthesia and treated with an orthopedic surgeon, cardiologist, neurologist, orthopedic and physiatrist, and so on.

Once you are admitted to the Indianapolis Rehabilitation Hospital, you will likely be given interim care in the form of outpatient services. This means that you will still be under the supervision of a doctor or a nurse, but you will be seen by physicians and surgeons operating in different areas of the hospital. This way, they will be able to keep a track of your progress. Your doctors will likely want to bring up these issues at a later date, when you are discharged from the hospital.

In addition to your inpatient rehabilitation services, the hospital also has inpatient services for individuals who have undergone brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, burns, and other such injuries. The Indianapolis Rehabilitation Hospital has a chief operating officer, or simply a COO, who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the entire hospital. The chief operating officer, or the COO, reports directly to the medical director, or the director, and is in charge of providing medical and other related support to patients.

The chief operating officer oversees all clinical matters, including floor management, patient education and referral, appointment scheduling and staffing, billing, appointment setting, insurance and billing, and a variety of other duties. The chief operating officer also oversees the organization of all staff in the hospital. The number of staff members is dependent on the size of the facility, and the number of individuals assigned to specific departments. As a result, the inpatient rehabilitation hospital has a full complement of nurses, medical assistants, licensed practical nurses, and pharmacy technicians.

The hospital has two acute care units, which are designed to serve patients with different kinds of injuries and medical conditions. One unit is dedicated to providing spinal cord injury recovery, and the other unit focuses on treating brain injuries, traumatic brain injuries, head and neck conditions, and other multiple trauma. The hospital also has twenty-four specialty rooms and nine interventional rooms.

There are various kinds of specialty areas in the Indianapolis rehabilitation hospital that are focused on treating different kinds of injuries, and on the treatment of different kinds of illnesses and conditions. An example of a specialty area is the Specialized Intensive Care Unit, which provides the most intensive care to those in need. Some of its services include surgery, radiation therapy, and other technologically advanced procedures. Another specialization area is the Neurosurgery Center, which is designed to care for those with severe brain injuries. This hospital also has a fellowship in neurosurgery training program, which is particularly valuable to persons who are training to be neurosurgeons. The hospital also has a neurosurgery residency program, in which medical students are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic brain injuries.
